About Me
My journey with AYM started a few years ago, and I experienced personal benefits that inspired me to share this transformative practice with others .Over the years, I’ve experienced many different types of massages, but I never found a bodywork practice quite like AYM.
For me, AYM has been transformative—both physically and mentally. It’s not just a massage; it’s a whole-body and mind experience that fosters deep relaxation and rejuvenation. My training began with the incredible Despina Psarra, and from that point forward, I was hooked. The rest, as they say, is history.
Located within a wellness centre in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, Purple Sands provides a comforting and supportive environment for clients to experience the unique blend of deep tissue massage, yoga-inspired stretching, and breath-work that AYM offers.
Our Approach
Each AYM session at Purple Sands is tailored to individual needs, ranging from dynamic to soothing. By combining oil massage and movement, we aim to release physical and emotional blockages, improve posture, boost energy, and promote overall well-being.
We use Acorus Calamus powder (a traditional Ayurvedic herb) to stimulate blood circulation and skin during the massage, enhancing the benefits of the treatment. Regular sessions are recommended, with no longer than 4 to 6 weeks between treatments, to support the positive effects of AYM.
